Skill Level

Must be able to ski black diamonds at the resort. Must have experience backcountry skiing

Day 1: Meet your Instructor at the proposed location. Begin with a gear check and going over all gear and its uses. Head into the field where we will have a skills day. Today we will cover everything from putting on crampons, crevasse rescue, belayed skiing/ rappelling/ ski cutting and much more. We will finish the day with a tour planning sessions for the following day.

Day 2: Today we will be heading out into the field to implement the skills we learned on day 1. We will hopefully have conditions that allow us to ski something that requires the rope. During our tour we will cover everything from big mountain avalanche awareness, whiteout navigation, advanced skiing techniques and much more.
